Winnix Integrator stands out as the best solution to make workstations' graphical interfaces and traditional character-mode applications operate together. Winnix is the thin client you have been looking for, with its standard connection on your workstation and installations centralization using Terminal Server (TSE/RDP) or Citrix (ICA). These advanced Winnix functions will bring significant operational gains.
Thanks to advanced emulation functions, you can provide Windows-type graphical interfaces to your traditional applications gradually, by modifying your source code in successive steps.
You can extract your data using file transfers, then process them afterwards by means of applications such as Microsoft Word or Excel.
Integration of OLE technologies enables remote site programs to drive Windows applications.

TO YOUR APPLICATIONS.
advanced terminal emulation
Winnix Integrator runs your traditional character-mode applications on Windows or Mac OS. The advanced terminal emulation functions broaden the selection of connections (serial, telnet, SSH, etc.), fonts, character sets and colours you can choose from, and also enable intelligent copies and pastes, storing screen images, etc.
bi-directional file transfers
Dialogue boxes allow you to easily and quickly define parameters for multivalued database extraction, then load them into the workstation (and transfer data from the PC to the central site).
You can also have this extraction program-triggered. Extraction and transfer parameters can be saved for later use.
By means of these file transfer functions (via public protocols such as X, Y and ZModem or Kermit, or proprietary protocols), you can retrieve your data and process them using standard software such as Microsoft Word or Excel.
integration of central site applications to the graphical environment
Winnix Integrator empowers traditional applications to manage Windows applications such as Microsoft Word in executing mass mailings.
graphical interface creation
Objects such as buttons, roll-down menus, lists and dialogue boxes make it easy to modify a central site application progressively so it can operate in a graphical environment such as Windows.
expert modules for multivalued-model applications
Specific emulations (e.g., SM9400), a specialized tool box, and file transfers between Windows and multivalued databases make Winnix the emulation leader with Pick-model databases (e.g.: D3, In-Pick, Jbase, Unidata, Universe). Experience acquired as part of numerous application enhancements and upgrades confirms the increasing interest in and value of Winnix in a central server-thin client station model.
